Ordering
We have made every attempt to make shopping at Quel Objet easy and straightforward. If you have any difficulties with the site, or if you have any questions at all, or if you would simply prefer to order over the phone instead of the internet, feel free to call.
We accept American Express, Visa, and MasterCard.
Your credit card is not charged until we ship. (Except in the case of custom orders, which are billed at the time of the order.) You will receive an order confirmation by e-mail when we have received your on-line order.
Inventory
We try to maintain a complete inventory of products ready to ship promptly. We cannot always anticipate best sellers. If a product is out of stock, we will let you know and will give you our best estimate as to when we will have it. You would, of course, have the option of canceling if that delay is a problem for you. We are dealing with small French businesses and with the vagaries of international transport and customs offices. Ordinarily, we should be able to get out-of-stock items in one to three weeks.
Standard Delivery
We ship by UPS ground service, unless you specify otherwise. We ship from our facility Monday to Friday, and orders will go out in one to two business days. In the contiguous 48 states, delivery ordinarily takes approximately three to five days. It would be prudent to allow more time during the holidays. UPS does not deliver to PO boxes. Shipping and handling charges are based on the total price of your order, as indicated on the chart below.
Expedited Delivery
If you require expedited delivery, UPS Three-day, Two-day, or Next Day, additional charges apply. These are also listed on the chart below. For expedited delivery on orders over $300, call our customer service for exact charges: 877 762-4499.
Alaska & Hawaii/ Outside U.S.
Additionally, please call our customer care number if you need a delivery to Hawaii or Alaska. We do not ship to any countries outside the U.S., except by special arrangement; call customer service for more information.
Shipping and Handling Charges
Shipping and handling charges will be based on the total price of your order, as indicated on the chart below:

Gift packaging is an additional $7 per package; see below for details.
Gift Packaging
All items except chickens, pillows, and deck chairs can be packaged in our elegant gift wrapping, with a hand written note included. Just let us know what you want to say. There is a $7 charge for each package gift wrapped.
For the three items too large to gift wrap--chickens, pillows, and deck chairs--we are happy to include a gift card at no charge.
Sales Tax
We are required by law to collect sales tax on both goods and shipping charges on orders shipped to addresses in New York State.
Order tracking
When we ship your order via UPS, UPS will send you a confirmation email, which contains your tracking number. To track your packages, you may call UPS with that tracking number at 1-800-PICKUPS, or you may track it online by clicking on www.ups.com/tracking/tracking.html.
Insurance
We insure all items with UPS against damage in shipping. Claims must be made to us within seven days of receiving the items. If there is visible damage to the carton, please save the packaging and contact us immediately.
Online Security
Your credit card information is completely safe when shopping with Quel Objet. Protecting your information is our highest priority. We have developed several safeguards to keep your information completely confidential. The checkout process itself employs Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to insure your safety. Secure Sockets Layer encrypts your order information and sends it to a secure server.
To check the security of your connection during checkout, look for the unbroken key or closed lock at the bottom of your browser window. This indicates SSL is active.
Our Privacy Statement
We neither sell nor share your information with outside companies or third parties.
When you order from Quel Objet, we collect your name, billing and shipping addresses, phone number, e-mail address, and credit card information. You provide this information so we can process and ship your order. We respect your privacy by not selling or sharing this information.
We encourage you to sign up for our new products announcements. We plan to be adding a variety of new products of the same quality and design standards as those which drew you here today. If you sign up, you will receive advance notice of this new merchandise. You may add or remove your name from this list at any time. We promise not to bombard you with incessant e-mails.
Product Display
Quel Objet makes every effort to display the products featured here as accurately as possible. However, the display settings and color capabilities of your particular computer monitor may affect the colors you actually see on the screen.
Customer Satisfaction
At Quel Objet we stand behind the quality of our products and will do everything we can to make things right if you are not satisfied with your purchase. Our shipments are carefully inspected before leaving our premises, but in the event you are not satisfied with your purchase, simply follow the instructions below.
Returns and Exchanges
If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it unused within two weeks. Returns should be sent by UPS or insured mail for your protection. Please include the return form, which accompanied the shipment. Once the item has been received, we will authorize the refund to your credit card. We’re sorry, but shipping fees are not refundable.
After two weeks unauthorized returns will be charged a 30% restocking fee.
